Digital Design Courses: Photoshop

This introductory course to Photoshop and photo editing is especially designed for beginners who want to start using Photoshop both immediately and efficiently. You will be able to learn the basic principles of Photoshop as well as the tools you need to edit and enhance photographs.

The course will be taught using simple and comprehensible terms, and will be filled with practical examples and chapters outlining the fundamentals of the program.

The Course covers the following:


Fashion Workshop by Filep Motwary

Inspired by creations of master fashion designers, participants will discover the importance of high-quality sewing, the difference between prêt-à-porter and haute couture and where the two meet.

The aim is to encourage people to visualize the garment through a creative process such as drawing with pencil, painting, markers or through the collage method with scraps of fashion magazines.

Silkscreen Workshop

Silkscreen Workshop by Paris Christodoulou for adults and teenagers

Participants will have the opportunity to learn basic silk screen printing techniques and after experimenting creatively they will be able to print their own designs or photos on paper, t-shirts or fabrics by hand.

The workshop consists of two meetings.

From paper to the screen

4 seminars on the art and craft of filmmaking

In a series of four two-hour lectures, director Longinos Panayi analyzes the various stages of filmmaking. The course covers the scenario, the production process, the directing, filming and editing. Through theory, technical analysis and screening of world cinema masterpieces, attendees will have the opportunity to acquire basic script, film and film production skills. More specifically, the course modules will be:

Introduction to Digital Photography by Nicolas Tschopp

Whether you are a beginner or an advanced student, a grown adult or a young person with an interest in photography, these courses are ideal for developing your photography skills in a creative environment under the guidance of a professional and awarded artist.


Drawing On Location 

A two-month short course for adults on how to draw on location led by the artists Anna Kakkouli begins at the Zampelas Art Museum from 10 October to 12 December.

With the choice of a morning or night session, participants will be able to familiarize themselves with landscape painting under the guidance of the teaching artist. Based on the area of Kaimakli, which surrounds the museum and the landscape depictions in the permanent collection of the Museum, participants will have the choice of using pencil, oil and/or acrylic.

A writing for children short course for adults

A five-week short course, meeting for an hour and a half every Wednesday, will take you through the basic steps towards writing a story. Both in theory and in practice, the workshop aims to introduce you to the art of writing for children.
