Silkscreen Workshop by Paris Christodoulou for adults and teenagers
Participants will have the opportunity to learn basic silk screen printing techniques and after experimenting creatively they will be able to print their own designs or photos on paper, t-shirts or fabrics by hand.
The workshop consists of two meetings.
First meeting Wednesday, March 21st 5-7pm,
A two-hour image preparation course will be held as well as a theoretical introduction to the silk-screen techniques. Participants can bring ideas, photos or even paint on the spot at the museum's workshop.
Second meeting Wednesday March 28th 5-7pm
Printing lesson. We will be printing up to two colors on different surfaces for illustrations or monochrome for photos.
Participants, in addition to the paper that will be provided may bring their own fabrics, t-shirts or other papers for printing.
Paris Christodoulou graduated in Illustration and Graphic Arts and has graduated in Fine Arts specializing in traditional printing methods He has participated in various exhibitions in England and Cyprus and during this time he works and delivers screen-printing lessons in the Silicon Screen Studio of the Center of Arts Kimonos, which he has created.
There is no need of prior silk-screen knowledge by the participants. It is aimed for all but may be of particular interest to graphic artists and illustrators, as well as artists and fabric designers.
