Marbling Workshop for Adults

Paper marbling is a method of aqueous surface design, which can produce patterns similar to smooth marble or other kinds of stone. The patterns are the result of colour floated on either plain water or a viscous solution known as size, and then carefully transferred to an absorbent surface, such as paper or fabric. 


Clay Workshop

Children can discover the museum world by exploring and learning about the collection in this interactive two-day ceramics program with Suzana Petri.

By selecting their favorite painting from the museum's permanent collection children will be asked to use that as inspiration to create their own sculpture out of clay.

The program is designed for children to cultivate an awareness of what a painting contains and learn how to recreate it in three-dimensional form; thereby allowing them to enter the artist's place and put their imagination to use.

Digital Design Courses: Photoshop

This introductory course to Photoshop and photo editing is especially designed for beginners who want to start using Photoshop both immediately and efficiently. You will be able to learn the basic principles of Photoshop as well as the tools you need to edit and enhance photographs.

The course will be taught using simple and comprehensible terms, and will be filled with practical examples and chapters outlining the fundamentals of the program.

When the Children Visit the Museum!


Educational program for children 6-12 years old

A tour of the museum where the participating children will discover the work of Cypriot and international artists. 

Giving special importance to the diverse styles and techniques of each artist, with the accompaniment of the museum educator, children recognize the different materials and observe visual tools to understand the processes of creating each project.


Fashion Workshop by Filep Motwary

Inspired by creations of master fashion designers, participants will discover the importance of high-quality sewing, the difference between prêt-à-porter and haute couture and where the two meet.

The aim is to encourage people to visualize the garment through a creative process such as drawing with pencil, painting, markers or through the collage method with scraps of fashion magazines.

Expressive Arts Workshop


A series of three workshops, the child and parent dyad, will have the opportunity to explore and enhance their collaboration through the use of the arts. 


A Week at the Museum


Educational Easter Program for children aged 6-12 years old

The Department of Educational Programs of the Loukia & Michael Zampela Art Museum announces for the 3rd consecutive year the program 'A Week at the Museum', which will take place during the Easter holiday season.

Children will have the opportunity to go through different artistic activities embedded in a creative educational program. The activities consist of painting, sculpture, art history, Easter crafts and yoga for children.



Silkscreen Workshop

Silkscreen Workshop by Paris Christodoulou for adults and teenagers

Participants will have the opportunity to learn basic silk screen printing techniques and after experimenting creatively they will be able to print their own designs or photos on paper, t-shirts or fabrics by hand.

The workshop consists of two meetings.

First meeting Wednesday, March 21st 5-7pm,


How do I imagine my favourite artist' s studio?

An educational program for children aged 8 - 14 years old, to coincide with the upcoming exhibition of Athina Antoniadou, in which the artist will transfer her studio to the museum premises. Children will have the opportunity to observe the artist's creative space and meet her in person. Thereafter, they will visit the permanent collection and choose their favourite artist based on the artworks on display. Using their imagination, they will be inspired to create the studio of the artist of their choice in a small-scale model.
